In the analysis of all 25 technical and community colleges, thebestcolleges.org reviewed common predictors of future success and a school鈥檚 commitment to online programs. The metrics include admissions rate, student loan default rate, retention rate, graduation rate, and the percent of students enrolled in online classes. All data points were taken from information provided by colleges to the National Center for Education Statistics.
In recent years CCC made substantial progress in developing ColbyConnect, the college鈥檚 online platform. A combination of 24-hour tutoring and tech support, a systematic quality check on courses, and an aggressive marketing campaign have doubled enrollment since 2016. The new advising center on campus also serves distance learning students and is expected to help with an already high retention rate and improve on the college鈥檚 state-leading graduation rate.
